In recent years, the UAE has made it its mission to attract new individuals to make the country their home with a wealth of different visa options, including the highly coveted UAE Golden Visa.<\/p>\n

What is the UAE Golden Visa?<\/h3>\n

The initiative was first introduced by the government in 2019. The UAE Golden Visa is a long-term residence visa with various exclusive benefits such as an entry visa, long-term renewable residence and the ability to sponsor family and domestic helpers. It’s a long-term, renewable residence visa valid for five years or 10 years, allowing many expats to make the UAE home on a much more permanent basis.<\/p>\n

Who is eligible for it?<\/h3>\n

So, who exactly is eligible for the UAE Golden Visa? The visa is aimed to attract “foreign talents to live, work or study in the UAE while enjoying exclusive benefits”.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>This includes investors, <\/span><\/span>business\u00a0<\/span>owners,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>individuals\u00a0<\/span>with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>unique\u00a0<\/span>talents,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>researchers\u00a0<\/span><\/span>in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>many\u00a0<\/span>sectors\u00a0<\/span><\/span>of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>science <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>knowledge,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and <\/span><\/span>students\u00a0<\/span><\/span>with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>promising\u00a0<\/span><\/span>scientific\u00a0<\/span><\/span>aptitude<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Senior\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Emiratis\u00a0<\/span><\/span>or\u00a0<\/span><\/span>government\u00a0<\/span>organisations <\/span><\/span>may\u00a0<\/span>nominate <\/span><\/span>individuals\u00a0<\/span><\/span>for the UAE G<\/span><\/span>olden\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Visa and <\/span><\/span>in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>other\u00a0<\/span>cases. Eligible talent <\/span><\/span>must be <\/span>submitted via <\/span><\/span>an\u00a0<\/span>online\u00a0<\/span>application.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The government program<\/a> has since been expanded to target the cultural contributions provided by creatives, such as musicians, actors and songwriters. Since its launch in 2019, a number of celebrities have been awarded the UAE Golden Visa.<\/p>\n
