In Los Angeles, the ratio of A-listers compared square footage of the Hollywood Hills means that the sprawling city isn\u2019t immune to unexpected link-ups. Take for instance the meeting between Kim Kardashian<\/a> and Meghan Markle\u2019s mum,<\/a> Doria Ragland\u2014the latest in a long list of surprising pairings.<\/p>\n

Given that the Kardashians are oft described as American royalty, the 42-year-old is one step closer to reaching nobility after being pictured with the Duchess of Sussex\u2019s mother<\/a>. Ragland and Kardashian connected at a \u2018soiree\u2019 thrown by the community-oriented social justice program This Is About Humanity\u2019s fifth-annual fundraising gala.<\/p>\n

The organisation, which strives to support and reunify families separated at the border between Mexico and the United States, took over a swanky private residence for the event.<\/p>\n

In the below picture, Ragland could be seen posing alongside Kardashian and the KarJenner matriarch, Kris Jenner, for a photo. Ragland was flanked by the reality stars in the image, with Kardashian even wrapping her hands<\/a> around Ragland\u2019s forearm and leaning in close to the camera in laughter.<\/p>\n

Ragland, Kardashian and Jenner were among the high-profile attendees celebrating at the charity event, with Eva Longoria, Jeff Bezos and his fianc\u00e9, Lauren Sanchez, also present.<\/p>\n

For the occasion, Kardashian looked to Pieter Mulier\u2019s sensual Fall\/Winter 2023 collection at ALA\u00cfA for her ensemble.<\/a><\/p>\n

The piece, which debuted at a runway show hosted inside Mulier\u2019s brutalist Antwerp apartment, featured a slinky black maxi dress layered with a leather harness bodice that sculpted the torso.<\/p>\n

The SKIMS founder completed the couture gown with Chanel chain jewellery and a quilted Chanel purse, Unexpectedly, the business magnate also unveiled a new beauty look: micro baby bangs.<\/p>\n

Perhaps inspired by the beatnik beauty look sported by Audrey Hepburn\u2014or more recently, \u2018It\u2019 girls like Taylor Russel and Alexa Demie<\/a>\u2014could this be proof Kardashian is entering her \u2018mid Century\u2019 era?<\/p>\n

Knowing Kardashian\u2019s former propensity for sycophancy, we wouldn\u2019t be surprised if this interaction was merely a pit stop on her way to the upper echelon of Montecito<\/a> and into the folds of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.<\/a> After all, the devil works hard but Kris Jenner works harder. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
