Named the \u201cmost beautiful building in the world\u201d, by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Museum of the Future<\/a> has become synonymous with the spectacular Dubai skyline in a short space of time. Specifically, what really makes it stand out is the exquisite Arabic calligraphy, designed by Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahejy, which covers the building\u2019s entire exterior.<\/p>\n

And now, further celebrating the art of calligraphy, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has launched the Dubai Calligraphy Biennale.<\/p>\n

The inaugural event will commence in early October, highlighting the creativity and talented Arabic calligraphers, as well as those on an international scale.<\/p>\n

It was recently announced via UAE state news agency WAM<\/em><\/a>, over 200 artists and calligraphers, both local and international, will participate in the Dubai Calligraphy Biennale, whose pieces of work while be showcased at key cultural institutions across the emirate.<\/p>\n
