In breaking news, Britney Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari<\/a>, have reportedly separated and are heading for divorce, ending their one-year marriage. <\/span><\/p>\n

Claims made by tabloid publication TMZ<\/em><\/a> follow on from reports of a \u201cnuclear\u201d argument stemming from a cheating scandal. According to their exclusive report, sources close to the couple revealed that Spears\u2019 29-year-old husband confronted her over rumours \u201cshe stepped out on him.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

The source alleged that the musician cheated on the Iranian-American model, though no evidence to dispel or affirm the claims has been outlined, however, <\/span>TMZ <\/span><\/i>cites that Asghari believed the gossip. <\/span><\/p>\n

The publication continued: \u201cSam has moved out of their house and is now living in a place of his own. As one source put it, \u2018It’s only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce.\u2019\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

TMZ<\/em> claims that Spears and Asghari\u2019s relationship had been in “deep trouble”<\/a> for months. They claim the couple have been embroiled in frequent \u201cscreaming matches\u201d and \u201cblowout fights\u201d with things escalating to the point where Spears has allegedly \u201cbeen physical\u201d. They also add that security has reportedly had to \u201cstep in\u201d during \u201cvolatile\u201d moments.<\/span><\/p>\n

The couple, who met in 2016, have certainly endured one of the most tumultuous circumstances, with Asghari supporting Spears through her 13-year conservatorship battle<\/a>. Asghari was regularly seen wearing a #FreeBritney shirt during this period. Spears\u2019 conservatorship was terminated<\/a> in 2021, with she and Asghari marrying in an intimate ceremony a year later in 2022. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The wedding was held at Spears\u2019 Thousand Oaks home in Los Angeles, with the likes of Madonna, Donatella Versace,<\/a> Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez<\/a> and Paris Hilton.<\/a> In the months leading up to the marriage, Spears also suffered a miscarriage, tragically losing her and Asghari\u2019s first child together. <\/span><\/p>\n

TMZ<\/em> reports that Spears\u2019 assets are reportedly protected by a prenuptial agreement, though they speculate that Spears may monetarily compensate Asghari during the divorce proceedings to \u201csettle things, at least financially.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Though the couple\u2019s official divorce hasn\u2019t been filed, it\u2019s expected to reach courts in due time.
