Cardi B may have just come off of a whirlwind fashion tour for Paris Haute Couture Week, but it seems the rapper had another agenda for her Euro trip: nabbing herself a\u00a0Birkin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The notoriously hard-to-get bag, which has been wildly popular since its debut in 1984, is the highly coveted hand-crafted creation of Herm\u00e8s<\/a> and can retail from anywhere between $40,000-$150,000+. But the price tag<\/a> isn’t the only obstacle to owning one. As some may have seen through Samantha’s plight in Sex and the City<\/em>, getting your hands on one is no easy feat. The luxury leather goods house has a strictly limited supply, meaning it doesn’t matter how much you’re willing to spend, whether you’re a celebrity, fashion editor, royalty, or even the inimitable Cardi B, the competition is fierce.<\/p>\n

During a ‘get ready with me’ video<\/a>, she explained her struggles to obtain one to Vogue<\/em>. “Everybody thinks I came here for Couture Week, but I really came here to buy a Birkin bag,” she said to her glam team. “I cannot find it nowhere in the States.”<\/p>\n

“Let me tell you something,” she continues. “I’ve been looking for this Birkin for two months, and then my Herm\u00e8s plug said that it was coming to New York, and I think she sold it to somebody else.” Ouch. But, of course, she is taking matters into her own finely-manicured hands.<\/p>\n

“It’s ok because I came here to get it myself.”<\/p>\n

Though she was photographed leaving Paris with a Birkin in tow, fans may recognise the particular version as being part of her existing collection.<\/p>\n

The cobalt blue crocodile tote with gold hardware made an appearance in a video she posted to Instagram, where she showed off her insanely large range of Birkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n
