It was the last summer of the 90s, or more importantly, the millennium, when Victoria and David Beckham, then known by the moniker \u201cPosh and Becks\u201d descended on a castle outside of Dublin for their wedding.<\/p>\n

The day itself featured all the trimmings of pre-Y2K opulence. There were crowns, thrones and even a then 3-month-old Brooklyn Beckham in his own white tuxedo, despite the former Spice Girl<\/a> has since described the nuptials as \u201cmore intimate than it looks\u201d. <\/a><\/p>\n

Now, 24 years on, the Beckhams are looking back on their decades-long romance, sharing candid photos of the pair and proving that with a stellar wedding comes a stellar wedding anniversary. <\/a><\/p>\n

Celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary on July 4th, both the fashion designer<\/a> and former soccer player took to social media to reminisce and commemorate the occasion.<\/p>\n

48-year-old David shared a photo taken around 1997, when the pair first started dating, with the couple holding their Rottweiler puppies, Puffy and Snoop.<\/p>\n

\u201c24 years and counting \ud83d\udc75\ud83c\udffc ,\u201d wrote Beckham in the caption. \u201cTo the best wife, mummy & drinking partner (most of the time \ud83e\udd2a) Happy Anniversary love u so much \u2764\ufe0f,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Victoria followed suit with the affectionate tongue-in-cheek post by sharing her own Instagram carousel, writing, \u201cStill holding hands and still laughing (with you not just at you) I love you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amongst the throwback photos shared were several unseen gems of the pair, including a very late-90s David<\/a> in a Chicago Bulls basketball jersey and New York Yankees baseball cap and a picture of the couple yachting in Portofino in 1997.<\/p>\n

Three of the couple\u2019s four children, Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 20 and Cruz, 18, also celebrated the milestone on their respective Instagram accounts.<\/p>\n

The Beckham\u2019s youngest and only daughter, Harper Seven, didn\u2019t share her wishes for her parents on social media as the 11-year-old is yet to join any platform.<\/p>\n

She did, however, attend David and Victoria\u2019s luxe wedding anniversary celebrations at an upmarket restaurant in London, posing alongside her mother with a vintage Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Pochette from 2004.<\/a> A subtle sartorial nod to her parent\u2019s 24 years together, perhaps?<\/p>\n

The traditional wedding anniversary gift is opal, though any wise woman would know that diamonds are a pertinent gift every year, however, the Beckhams eschewed this archetype for something suitable to their posh lifestyle: Herm\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

The style savant didn\u2019t share what was inside the gargantuan orange box, but it\u2019s clear by the size that David didn\u2019t gift Victoria her sixteenth engagement ring.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Victoria penned<\/a> a letter to her 18-year-old self, in turn inadvertently divulging the secret to their now 24-year marriage: \u201cHave patience. Bite your tongue. Be supportive. And preserve a bit of mystique.
