While a lot of things have changed in Carrie Bradshaw\u2019s life\u2014her partner, her friends, the way she publishes her work\u2014her penchant for a dizzyingly expensive heel has never dwindled. And Just Like That<\/a>\u2026<\/em>, the chaotic Sex And The City<\/em><\/a> reboot, found its groove on July 29 with the release of its second season\u2019s third episode: \u201cChapter Three.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sure, we still had to sit through a pretentious Seema being robbed of her prized Birkin<\/a>, Lisa and Charlotte<\/a>\u2019s frivolous interest in making a MILF list at their childrens’ school, and Miranda<\/a> awkwardly unable to use technology\u2026 again. But it felt like it got back to what we love most about the show (next to the wayward dating advice<\/a>, of course): The Fashion<\/a>. Finding it difficult to record the audio component for her book about the death of her husband<\/a>, Carrie Bradshaw<\/a> runs into an old friend, Betsy, in a beauty salon who, too, lost her partner.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just fell apart reading it,\u201d confesses Carrie. \u201cI was suddenly right back there again\u2026 I thought I was doing so well, I got through that whole first year.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHoney, the second year is worst than the first,\u201d replies Betsy. \u201cThat\u2019s the dirty little secret that nobody tells you. Time is passing, and whatever is happening\u2014good, bad, weird\u2014he\u2019s missing all of it, and you feel further and further away from him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Betsy encourages Carrie to do whatever it is she feels she needs to do to make herself feel better. And for Ms. Bradshaw, it\u2019s shopping for shoes. Seconds later (or at the 18 minute and 19 second mark), Carrie has opened boxes of shoes splayed across the floor of her West Village apartment: Gucci<\/a>, Jimmy Choo<\/a>, Giuseppe Zanotti, and Loewe<\/a>\u2019s balloon sandals.<\/p>\n
