Fans speculate that there was some serious overlapping between the Taylor Swift and Matty Healy affair<\/a> and her relationship timeline with Joe Alwyn. Nobody expected the split between singer-songwriting Taylor Swift<\/a> and former beau Joe Alwyn. The former couple confirmed their relationship back in May 2017 and had kept it low key ever since, unlike Taylor’s past romances. From secret rendezvous to penning down music for Taylor’s album Folklore and Evermore, the Anti-Hero singer and Joe’s love affair was wrapped in secrecy,<\/a> and their breakup wasn’t any different. But the internet is suspecting whether Taylor grew closer to Matty Healy while she was still with Joe.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, musician Aaron Dessner revealed that he worked with Taylor Swift for her album Midnight while in LA for the Grammys which was around March 2021. Later in July that year, Taylor released the track Renegade, which was assumed to be about her relationship with Joe. In the interview, Dessner described how he felt listening to the song, “It’s just the way she talks about how anxiety and fear get in the way of loving someone or, you know, create an inability for someone to love.” Known for her ability to draw inspiration from her personal life to write lyrics, fans were concerned.<\/p>\n

Months later, Matty Healy revealed in another interview that he worked with Jack Antonoff, one of Taylor’s long-time music collaborators, for his band’s recent album. Ever since, Matty and Jack began showing off their new friendship publicly. In November 2022, Matty shared that he collaborated with Taylor for her album Midnight along with his band that didn’t make the cut. He also mentions that Taylor had listened to the band’s newest album before its official release. Although there were assumptions that Jack is the one who orchestrated Matty and Taylor’s romance, Swifties confirmed it after Jack was photographed with the couple at their recent dinner in New York City.<\/p>\n
