After 30 years of development, Tim Burton’s cult favourite movie Beetlejuice starring Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton has finally announced its sequel. Beetlejuice 2 has cast Jenna Ortega<\/a> as the daughter of Ryder’s character Lydia Deetz. Fans are overjoyed to see the ’90s goth icon on screen alongside current goth girl Jenna Ortega. Earlier at the Warner Bros’ CinemaCon 2023 panel, the rumours surrounding her casting were officially confirmed but details of her character were kept under wraps up until now.<\/p>\n

This isn’t Jenna’s first rodeo as Hollywood’s newest ‘It’ girl,<\/a> as she has been snagging alt-girl roles in productions such as Wednesday, Tim Burton’s newest rendition of The Addams Family character, and Scream VI. In only two years, the young actress busted into the scene with back-to-back hits cementing herself as an A-lister and capturing Hollywood with her charm. The fans of Beetlejuice had long since speculated that Jenna Ortega would be ideal to play Winona’s daughter in the film because of their similarity in appearances. Jenna’s portrayal of Wednesday’s demeanour in the Netflix original series sealed the deal for most.<\/p>\n
