When the 2023 Met Gala<\/a> theme was announced to be honouring the late iconic Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, there was no way Pen\u00e9lope Cruz, a longtime ambassador of the French fashion house and close friend of Lagerfeld’s, wouldn’t be on the guest list.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, the Met took it one step further, asking the Spanish actress to be one of the evening’s co-chairs, alongside Dua Lipa, in a vintage Chanel bridal look<\/a>, Michaela Coel and Roger Federer.<\/p>\n

Arriving on the red carpet<\/a>, Cruz looked angelic wearing a custom-made hooded gown with a large shawl collar in light blue organza embroidered with silver sequins. Cruz added a silver leather belt embellished with pearls inspired by a look from the Haute Couture archives, specifically look 81 from the house’s Spring-Summer 1988 collection.<\/p>\n

Cruz added more sparkle through her silver sky-high platform sandals by Chanel and silver-and-diamond hoop earrings. <\/span><\/p>\n

The actress opted for simplicity when it comes to her beauty look, wearing a bronzy sparkly eye, a glossy nude lip, and a slicked-back hairdo with a middle part.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before hitting the red carpet, Cruz uploaded a tribute to Lagerfeld to her Instagram<\/a>, writing, “My dear Karl, I hope you are feeling the love. I know you are.”<\/p>\n
