It\u2019s not unusual for a celebrity wedding to take the culture in a chokehold, just look at Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham\u2019s nuptials in Miami for an example, which took place over a year ago, propelling the couple into new levels of fame (you couldn\u2019t avoid them if you tried) and continuing to make headlines today (though probably not for the reasons they\u2019d choose<\/a>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For 2023\u2019s royal wedding, we were blessed with Sofia Richie marrying Elliot Grainge<\/a> at the exclusive Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France over the weekend. At first, the wedding appeared not to pique the interest of the wider internet, due to Richie seemingly having her 15 minutes of fame already through her previous, more high-profile relationships with Justin Bieber and Scott Disick (and many appearances on Keeping up with the Kardashians<\/em> because of it). But very quickly this changed. <\/span><\/p>\n

First, Richie donned not one, not two, but three elegant and timeless custom Chanel gowns, prompting many to create style files showing how much her wardrobe has changed since her skintight, mini-dress days as an honorary Kardashian to the ‘quiet luxury’ looks she now favours. Then she began sharing candid behind-the-scenes clips to a new TikTok account<\/a> created seemingly for this alone. <\/span><\/p>\n
