When the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the theme for the 2023 Met Gala as \u2018Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty\u2019, we had only one question: will Karl\u2019s iconic cat, Choupette, make the guest list? <\/span><\/p>\n

We know that questioning a feline\u2019s attendance at a hallowed ball may seem frivolous to some, but with Choupette practically Karl\u2019s daughter, her attendance on the Met steps on the first Monday in May seems like a prerequisite for honouring the late-fashion maven.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, we seemingly have our answer, with Choupette reportedly confirmed to attend this year\u2019s star-studded soiree. <\/span><\/p>\n

The only question that remains is which luxury maison she\u2019ll be choosing her ensemble from? <\/span><\/p>\n

Given that Choupette is arguably <\/span>the <\/span><\/i>most famous Birman alive, we have no doubts that the 12-year-old cat may even play an important role in the evening\u2019s proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fashion-forward feline hasn\u2019t taken to her 133,000 Instagram followers<\/a> to divulge her Met Gala RSVP status, but given she\u2019s the animal acme of Lagerfeld\u2019s legacy\u2014with a reported net worth of $13 million<\/a> accumulated from her modelling contracts, endorsement deals and of course, her inheritance left after the creative director\u2019s passing\u2014her attendance is certainly befitting for the occasion.<\/p>\n

In fact, we\u2019d go as far to argue that Choupette could be the most spoiled \u2018nepo baby\u2019 on the 2023 guest list.<\/a><\/p>\n

Given her gilded lifestyle included travelling with Lagerfeld on his private jet, dining off of custom-made Goyard plates and making rare appearances in fashion editorials, Choupette\u2019s Met Gala debut is bound to make fashion history.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sadly, the roles of Met Gala co-chairs have already been allocated<\/a> to Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Pen\u00e9lope Cruz, and Roger Federer, but we\u2019re sure event planners will sartorially pay homage Choupette and Lagerfeld\u2019s relationship in some form.<\/p>\n
