In a desperate attempt to promote his new book without using Twitter, Donald Trump<\/a> has made the startling claim that Princess Diana<\/a> used to \u201ckiss my ass\u201d. Princess Diana\u2019s younger brother,<\/a> Charles, 9th<\/sup> Earl Spencer has deftly shot the claim down via \u2013 you guessed it \u2013 Twitter.<\/p>\n

While on his latest book tour, the former President reportedly told Breitbart<\/a> <\/em>that a lot of people, namely those in the upper echelons of society, used to treat him differently before he became the Commander In Chief. The book promises to publish letters from famous figures including Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth,<\/a> Oprah Winfrey<\/a>, and Barack Obama.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI think they’re going to see a very fascinating life. I knew them all \u2013 and every one of them kissed my ass, and now I only have half of them kissing my ass,\u201d Trump reportedly told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Princess Diana\u2019s younger brother\u2019s retort was swift.<\/p>\n

\u201cSurprised to hear that Donald Trump is apparently claiming that my late sister Diana wanted to \u2018kiss his arse\u2019, since the one time she mentioned him to me \u2013 when he was using her good name to sell some real estate in New York \u2013 she clearly viewed him as worse than an anal fissure,\u201d Charles wrote on Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former President has spoken about Princess Diana many times in the past, and in a lot of those interviews he expressed his regrets on not courting her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tell you what,\u201d Trump told Howard Stern in an interview<\/a> in 2000. \u201cI think she’s magnificent. Lady Di was truly a woman with great beauty. I’ve seen her a couple of times. She was really beautiful, and people didn’t realise that beautiful. She was supermodel beautiful. She had the height, she had the beauty, she had the skin, the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former British anchor and friend of Princess Diana Selina Scott wrote a column for UK newspaper The Sunday Times<\/a><\/em> in 2015. In it, she detailed how Trump sent her friend multiple bouquets of flowers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the roses and orchids piled up at her apartment she became increasingly concerned about what she should do. It had begun to feel as if Trump was stalking her,\u201d Scott wrote. \u201c[She said,] \u2018What am I going to do? He gives me the creeps.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she died in the tragic accident in Paris in 1997, Trump told friends his biggest regret was that they hadn\u2019t dated,\u201d Scott wrote. \u201cHe said that he always thought he had a chance of romance and would have had a \u2018shot\u2019 with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump really will stoop to any level for publicity, won’t he.<\/p>\n
