The 2023 Oscars red carpet is here! While it may still feel like January, awards season has reached its apex with the 95th annual Academy Awards<\/a>.\u00a0Descending upon the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Hollywood’s finest are out and dressed to impress in fabulous couture to celebrate the films of 2022<\/a> and honours the chosen few with cinema’s most coveted awards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Five years shy of its centennial, this year feels like a true return to the glamorous red carpets we knew before the pandemic. <\/span>After going hostless for the previous two years, the Oscars returned to a host format in 2022<\/a> with Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall sharing the role. This year, comedian Jimmy Kimmel returns for his third stint hosting after taking on the position in 2017 and 2018. Rihanna and Lady Gaga performing at the ceremony<\/a> is just the cherry on top.<\/p>\n

With some controversy surrounding the awards in the lead-up to the evening, there’s a lot riding on tonight’s results. With Cate Blanchett<\/a> (T\u00e1r<\/em>), Michelle Yeoh<\/a> (Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/em>), Ana de Armas<\/a> (Blonde<\/em>), Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie<\/em>) and Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans<\/em>) up for Best Actress, and Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em><\/a>), Hong Chau (The Whale<\/em>), Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin<\/em>), Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/em>) up for Best Supporting Actress, it’s anyone’s guess who will take home the trophies. Even with many speculating wins for Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a> based on their Screen Actors Guild Awards<\/a> wins, nothing is guaranteed with the Academy.<\/p>\n

Of course, the awards aren’t the only things we hold out for. Looking back at what the Oscars red carpet<\/a> has previously held, the event is bound to deliver plenty of memorable style moments. Arguably one of the most epic events of Hollywood’s social calendar, guests are sure to bring their biggest and best. After all, with this much star power in one room, a fashion showdown is imminent.<\/p>\n
