Courteney Cox has set the record straight about one of the headline-making revelations that came from Prince Harry\u2019s recently-released memoir, <\/span>Spare<\/a>.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In case you missed it, amid all of the stories<\/a>, the Duke of Sussex dropped a few Hollywood names in the mix, including that of <\/span>Friends<\/span><\/i><\/a> alum, Cox. Thankfully, Cox didn\u2019t have anything to do with the above, but she did get caught up in an anecdote about psychedelic drugs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During one part of <\/span>Spare,<\/span><\/i> Harry wrote about a time when he was staying at Cox\u2019s house in early 2016 \u2014 the same year he met his wife, Meghan Markle<\/a> \u2014 and found some mushroom chocolates in the fridge. \u201cSomebody behind me said they were for everybody,\u201d he wrote. \u201cHelp yourself, boys. My mate and I grabbed several, gobbled them, washed them down with tequila.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Soon after, the prince found himself in a bathroom as the drugs began kicking in. \u201cBeside the toilet was a round silver bin, the kind with a foot pedal to open the lid,\u201d he said. \u201cI started at the bin. It started back. What\u2014staring? I stepped on the pedal. A huge open grin. Now the loo became a head too. The bowl was its gaping me, the hinges of the seat were its piercing silver eyes. It said: Aaah.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, Cox has addressed the story, confirming Harry was her guest, but denying she had anything to do with the \u2018shrooms \u2014 well, not the giving them to Prince Harry part, anyway. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe did stay here for a couple of days\u2014probably two or three,\u201d the actress said in a recent interview with <\/span>Variety<\/span><\/i><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cI\u2019m not saying there were mushrooms!\u201d she added. But \u201cI definitely wasn\u2019t passing them out.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cox said she hasn\u2019t had a chance to read the book yet, but that she’s \u201cheard it\u2019s really entertaining,\u201d noting<\/span>\u00a0she saw Harry at a mutual friend\u2019s birthday party recently, but didn\u2019t say hi as he was engaged in a different conversation. <\/span><\/p>\n

At least now they\u2019ll have an interesting topic to talk about next time they bump into each
