It turns out even Mila Kunis<\/a> was baffled by those<\/em> viral photos of her husband Ashton Kutcher<\/a> and Reese Witherspoon<\/a> on the red carpet last week. The internet was ablaze with commentary on social media after a series of awkward snaps of the two actors posing together at the premiere of their new Netflix film, Your Place Or Mine<\/em>, hit Twitter.<\/p>\n

And it seems Kunis was just as confused, as Witherspoon recently revealed during an appearance to promote the film on the TODAY<\/em> show. “She even emailed us last night,” the star shared, adding, “She goes, \u2018You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together.”<\/p>\n

While Kutcher and Witherspoon insist there was no truth to the rumours that they didn’t get along, Witherspoon admitted that she has a closer relationship to Kunis. “I\u2019m better friends with Mila because I\u2019ve known her for a very long time,” she explained.<\/p>\n

“When you know a girlfriend so much, it was just fun to get to know her significant other because I\u2019ve loved her for so long.”<\/p>\n

Kutcher further divulged Kunis’ reaction to the moment in a promotional clip for an upcoming episode of the podcast, Chicks In The Office<\/em>. “My wife called me. She texted Reese and I together. She’s like, ‘Guys, you gotta, like, act like you each other.’ And I’m like, ‘What’s going on?'” he explained.<\/p>\n

“Here’s the thing: If I put my arm around her and was, like, all friendly with her, I’d be having an affair with her \u2014 the rumour would be that I’m having an affair with her.” And look, it’s a fair point.<\/p>\n

Kutcher continued, “If I stand next to her \u2014 I put my hands in my pockets so there’s no chance that, like, that could be the rumour, [then] the rumour is we don’t like each other. Reese and I are really good friends. We’re really close. I don’t have to defend that.”<\/p>\n
