Only Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a> would be wearing Gucci<\/a> when her now-husband Brad Falchuk<\/a> unexpectedly proposed to her in Italy in 2017. In a new video,<\/a> the 50-year-old Academy Award-winning actress and Goop founder rifles through her wardrobe \u2013 a treasure trove filled with sartorial hallmarks of her career and personal life. But it\u2019s the floral silk mini with a Peter Pan collar and ruffles down its front that will garner the most interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the dress I was wearing when Brad proposed to me,\u201d Paltrow tells the camera, pulling out the Gucci. \u201cActually, we were in Italy, climbed up to a roof deck thing, and he surprised me!\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time of her wedding in 2018, Paltrow opened up about finding love again after her split from her first husband, Chris Martin.<\/p>\n

\u201cPersonally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be,\u201d Paltrow said in a 2018 digital cover story for Goop<\/a>. \u201cI have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paltrow, who has a penchant for sustainability and no issue with re-wearing her designer wares, wore this dress again in New York<\/a> that same year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI pull\u00a0things from this closet once in a while,\u201d\u00a0Paltrow says.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s really if I want something special, or I\u2019m saving for myself or if things come back in style or for [my daughter] Apple. I\u2019ve saved a lot of shoes for Apple.\u201d<\/p>\n

The shoes in Paltrow\u2019s closet include the Manolo Blahniks she wore when she won the Oscar in 1999<\/a> for her performance in Shakespeare In Love<\/em> and a pair of Gucci heels, the first in the Tom Ford era. As you watch the video below, you will see another Gucci piece from Ford\u2019s days at the House, a red suit which Paltrow<\/a> confesses to wearing repeatedly.<\/p>\n

Apple, 18, made her fashion debut with Chanel last week<\/a>, sitting in the front row at the House\u2019s Spring\/Summer 2023 Haute Couture show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The actress also pulls out a Calvin Klein dress she wore to the New York film premiere of The Pallbearer<\/em> with Brad Pitt<\/a> (to whom she also became engaged) in 1996.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wore this to a premiere when I was going out with Brad Pitt. It\u2019s very 90s shirt dress kind of thing. It\u2019s like slouchy; it\u2019s relaxed. It\u2019s giving that very 90s \u2018I don\u2019t give a f*ck\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
