True to her star turn as Princess Diana in the latest season of The Crown<\/em><\/a>, Elizabeth Debicki<\/a> has been treating us to an endless array of sartorial triumphs while on the promotional trail. Her latest look is no exception, as the actor recently attended an event in New York City wearing a look from Bottega Veneta’s Summer 2023 collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Debicki paired the slinky multi-hued dress with a plunging neckline \u2013 look 18 from the fashion house’s runway show \u2013 with Bottega Veneta’s Sardine handbag in a contrasting white shade. Gold jewellery and pointed burgundy heels with long, loose waves and neutral makeup completed the star’s elegant ensemble.<\/p>\n

Debicki has been garnering acclaim for her portrayal of Princess Diana in the Netflix series’ latest season, which follows the royal as she navigates a tumultuous period in her life that saw the marriage breakdown with her husband, then-Prince Charles.<\/p>\n

One of the most memorable moments during this time was the late royal’s iconic style moments, most notably the ‘revenge dress’ she wore to an event short black dress shortly after her husband admitted to conducting an affair.<\/p>\n

Debicki revealed that she felt a sense of deep responsibility when it came to conveying such a vivid moment in fashion history, telling media<\/a>, “We all felt the responsibility of the revenge dress because it’s something that everybody wanted to see. It’s an incredibly powerful sartorial moment in the history of fashion,” she said.<\/p>\n

“That dress is so emblematic of so many things because it’s so brave and beautiful, but it’s also so tinged with our understanding of what was going on in this person’s life. So the duality of that is really powerful, I think, and we really felt that we had to do it properly.”<\/p>\n
