If past examples are any indication, Blake Lively loves unique nails. So much so that in 2021 the actress paid tribute to New York City<\/a> with tiny manicure art. This week the\u00a0Gossip Girl\u00a0<\/em>alum was back on social media describing her new look as “antique grandma wallpaper”. A style she has been begging for from celebrity nail artist Elle Gerstein. It very well might spark a new trend – move over glazed donuts.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram story Lively shared her long almond-shaped nails which featured a muted yellow base and brown hand-drawn flowers. The nails were seemingly finished with a glossy top coat. In the background you can see the wallpaper she was inspired by. Within the frame the 35-year-old tagged luxury interiors brand House of Hackney, writing, “I really hope this is a first.”<\/p>\n

Gerstein counts clients including Lindsay Lohan and our favourite Christmas queen, Mariah Carey. Lively’s recent nail art is actually reminiscent to a tortoiseshell print the artist has done for the actress recently. The marble style was finished with a “cinnamon red” that Lively allegedly mixed herself with different coloured polishes.<\/p>\n
