Today, Victoria Beckham is one of Britain’s most stylish women, sitting front row at fashion shows when she’s not holding her own for her eponymous label \u2014 this year, she showcased her latest collection in Paris with the likes of Bella Hadid walking the runway. But back in the ’90s, despite already being at the peak of her fame in the Spice Girls, Beckham was still figuring her style out alongside her equally famous footballer husband, David Beckham.<\/p>\n

The couple’s coordinating fashion moments in their early days of romance often pop back up on archival Instagram pages, especially with Gen Z’s current appreciation of all things Y2K. But this likely doesn’t sit too well with Beckham, who says one look still “haunts” her to this day.<\/p>\n

Back in 1999, the couple hit the town in identical black leather Gucci jackets and pants: a moment that’s since become an iconic marker of the decade’s celebrity style. But when asked about the moment on Watch What Happens Live<\/em> on Monday night, Beckham told host Andy Cohen it still \u201chaunts\u201d her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were wearing Gucci. It was a Versace dinner, which was inappropriate in itself,\u201d the fashion designer recalled, adding, \u201cbut we really considered those outfits. We really thought about it. There was a naivet\u00e9 to it that was just so sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apparently, the other partner in leather doesn’t feel the same, commemorating the look \u2014 alongside some other iconic matching moments \u2014 to celebrate their 22nd anniversary last year on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201c22 years later, still matching outfits \ud83d\ude02,\u201d he wrote at the time. \u201cHappy anniversary love u so much and thank you for giving me our amazing kids so we can all wear the same.\u201d<\/p>\n
