Following fashion month and on the cusp of a new season, we are inspired sartorially more than ever. This month has seen a flurry of local brands and labels from abroad release new summer and resort collections – just in time for the party season. There is summer suiting to bring your look from desk to dinner, bold new prints guaranteed to stop traffic and lovely linen, perfect for the poolside. Whatever the occasion, we’ve listed our favourite launches for October below.<\/p>\n

SIR.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Resort 2023 has ushered a series of new prints and cut unexpected shapes for SIR.<\/a> this season. Highly-anticipated signature SIR. silhouettes are rereleased in new cult florals while, inspired by “incohesion”, the collection plays with cutouts and texture for styles not seen anywhere else. The inclusion of thick knit fabrication also means Resort 23 has a life beyond summer soir\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

bassike<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

For Resort 2023, bassike takes conceptual design to ready-to-wear pieces. The highly-anticipated release is inspired by the diversity of the species that make up the Great Barrier Reef and the way they interact with each other. The colour palette echoes hues from the environment whilst the\u00a0 featured print – sprawling tentacles of an octopus – punctuates the collection for a true resort feel.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

DISSH<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

DISSH<\/a> has become beloved for its linen sets and beautiful staples, all at an affordable price point. Captured at the majestic Stockton Dunes in the Worimi Conservation Lands of Australia the brand unveiled the new Summer 22\/23 collection this month. Earthy tones of burnt orange and dark olive complement whites and creams for linen and crochet pieces made to be worn in the sunshine.<\/p>\n

Shona Joy<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Australian label Shona Joy<\/a> travels to Palm Springs for Summer 2022. Titled\u00a0Palisades, <\/em>the newly-released capsule combines summer tailoring with flirty party wear and a pastel colour palette. Some of the label’s most beloved styles are reimagined for wedding season while poolside attire also arrives to the fore.<\/p>\n

Oroton<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Following an idyllic runway at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week in May, Oroton has finally released its sunny Resort 2023 collection. Expanding on the house\u2019s legacy, creative director Sophie Holt combines time-honoured detailing such as embroidery and stripes with an array of new bold shades for a foundational wardrobe. Pieces made to be worn season after season.<\/p>\n

Maggie Marilyn<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Maggie Marilyn<\/a> is not tied to seasonal collections and instead releases ‘Forever’ collections – an ode to styles made to be loved eternally – at any given time. Luckily for us, Forever 17 has been launched just in time for party season. The capsule pays homage to summers you will never forget in a candy coloured palette, with sweet style cues and feminine silhouettes. A hallmark for designer Maggie Hewitt.<\/p>\n

Bondi Born<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Candy-coloured hues collide with an earthy colour palette this season for Bondi Born<\/a>. First seen on the runway at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week earlier this year har materialised on a sun soaked beach for Resort 2023. Titled \u2018PHOSPHOR\u2019, the collection inspires new energy and a clean slate with crisp wardrobe co-ords, luxury swimwear and beautiful evening wear.<\/p>\n

AL\u00c9MAIS<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

In Al\u00e9mais’<\/a> most extensive collection to date arrives Resort 2023 titled Soleil<\/em>. This season the label has partnered with multi-disciplinary artist Claire Johnson for print-fuelled embroidered linen midis, patchwork shirt dresses and elegant one shoulder dresses. The sunny silhouettes are known to sell out extremely quickly so waste no time in exploring the new collection from October 19.<\/p>\n

St. Agni<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Direct from the Afterpay Australian Fashion Week runway arrives the highly-anticipated St. Agni<\/a> Resort 2023 collection<\/a>. Inspired by the ’90s, style cues such as glittering sheer fabrication and adventurous cutouts receive a more relaxed treatment – with just a touch of risqu\u00e9. The release coincides with the launch of a temporary Sydney Residence in the heart of Paddington where customers can experience an in-store experience. Learn more, here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Papinelle x Karen Walker<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Summer sleepwear has received a luxury upgrade this season with the launch of the Papinelle x Karen Walker collaboration. “Sleepwear as daywear continues to be our thing. Sure, our pyjamas feel sensational to snooze and lounge in but they\u2019re just as stylish for taking out the trash and venturing much further down the street. This summer we also introduce nighties that work wonderfully poolside or at the beach \u2013 simply add a wide- brim hat and some knock-out shades,\u201d designer Karen Walker said.<\/p>\n
