Our love for the ’90s has never wavered and even amid the most polarising of trends there are some timeless styles. The original Tod’s<\/a> Di Bag has remained a hallmark for the brand and a staple within our wardrobes, with the likes of Princess Diana, Naomi Campbell, Anne Hathaway and Nicole Kidman just some of the prominent women to have clutched the leather tote.<\/p>\n

Fall\/Winter 2022 has seen the Italian fashion house propose a bold new take on the Di Bag by enlarging its proportions, upstaging its presence and re-releasing it with a genderless attitude. Tod’s creative director Walter Chiapponi has expanded the offering with four different sizes – mini, small, medium and a large carry-all iteration – and in a vibrant colour palette alongside black and beige. What makes the Di Bag truly special is the range of artisanal techniques used to craft the bag that are similar to those used by ancient saddle makers.<\/p>\n

Key features are the signature central-stitched seam and rolled handles, with an “almond-shaped” end, all with hand-painted raw-leather edging. On these, the top zip is adorned with a graceful long leather loop and an adjustable shoulder strap adds a touch of convenience.<\/p>\n

As worn by the likes of sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid, a personalisation service for the bold dressers amongst us is available. Now customers can create their own Di Bag with their name, or a specific text of up to 10 letters of their choosing when purchasing in-store. They can visualise a high-resolution simulation of their custom-made bag before confirming the final, personalised order. Customers can also choose from a range of colours \u2013 lavender, turquoise, red, yellow, white and black. TOD\u2019s monogramming is available on the Di Bag Micro to Medium size.
