Alessandro Michele cast 68 sets of identical twins for the Gucci ‘Twinsburg’ show in Milan overnight; a collection that was inspired by his mother (also a twin) as well as the ideas of reflection, duplication and, ironically, individuality.<\/p>\n

It was an interesting undertaking then for Thomas de Kluyver<\/a>, the Perth-born makeup artist who also happens to be Gucci Beauty’s Global Makeup Artist. Not only did each set of twins wear the same pieces of clothing, but makeup look.<\/p>\n

While every set of twins was painted differently, there was an underlying theme of ethereality: glowing skin, angelic shimmer, futuristic jewels and a clean, almost pastel colour palette.<\/p>\n

A standout (as seen below) as skin dusted with iridescent shimmer, peach brows and blinding highlight; a look that could only be dreamt up by a duo with as much creative prowess as de Kluyver and Michele.<\/p>\n

Hair was also highly individual. Led by Paul Hanlon<\/a>, there really was no overarching theme: just the embrace of natural texture and movement. It was given a Gucci spin: soft, ’70s movement, frizz, extreme length and quirky headwear. But in essence perfectly complimented the show in its entirety.<\/p>\n
