The TikTok algorithm knows I love beauty. In fact, the app has swiftly become the primary place I find product recommendations, easy to replicate how-tos, and helpful and practical expert beauty advice.<\/p>\n

Of course, not every hack lives up to the hype\u2014there’s no shortage of beauty content on the app, after all\u2014but in the past few months I’ve tried and loved three TikTok beauty trends so much that I feel morally obliged to share them.<\/p>\n

The skincare routine that saves me from over-exfoliating<\/h5>\n

If you haven’t heard of skin cycling, the skincare routine created by NYC-based dermatologist Dr. Whitney Bowe, let me introduce you. The evening routine involves “cycling” different skincare products over four nights to ensure your skin remains hydrated and is never over-exfoliated.<\/p>\n

On the first night of skin cycling, Dr. Bowe recommends applying a chemical exfoliant, followed by a retinoid product on the second night, and then giving your skin two nights to recover with a focus on skin nourishment and hydration.<\/p>\n
