Model, author, activist, designer… Em Rata<\/a> is a woman of many talents \u2014 cutting her own hair included.<\/p>\n

Following a brief social hiatus after news broke that her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard was actually a serial cheater (gross), Rata is back sharing snippets of her life, including yesterday’s TikTok that showed her cutting her hair with a pair of kitchen scissors.<\/p>\n

In the video, Rata explains she’s heading to the beach and wants to add an extra layer into the front section of her long brunette hair. After a haphazard snip, her baby Sylvester starts crying, so she brings him into the bathroom. Not even someone as accomplished as Rata can cut DIY bangs and hold a baby, so the second he goes down she keeps hacking.<\/p>\n

Despite the chaos, the end result is subtle but nice. Rata is actually a spokesperson for Kerastase, so she’s posted her fair share of hair content \u2014 but never a DIY cut. They do say you should never cut bangs in the weeks following a breakout, but the multi-hyphenate really can do no wrong.<\/p>\n
