When it comes to Botox, filler and other cosmetic enhancements, the narrative is always directed towards women. Women, who are told they\u2019re vain for being influenced by the beauty standards projected onto them from when they were born: that youth is beauty. But, of course, in reality men, too, get cosmetic work done and the voice of toppling the patriarchy today comes from an unlikely place: that of one Mr Joe Jonas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a new interview with People<\/em><\/a>, the 33-year-old musician revealed he\u2019d partnered with Xeomin \u2014 a cosmetic injectable that smoothes fine lines, saying he\u2019s found new confidence after using the injections to smooth out some of the frown lines and wrinkles on his face.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“We’re all getting older and part of that is being comfortable [in our skin],” Jonas said, adding, “I don’t think it’s necessarily something that we have to shy away from. We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth.”<\/span><\/p>\n
