Following the official link here<\/a>, you’ll be placed inside a waiting room (along with every other keen bean after a pair) where every minute, a person will be picked randomly to buy one of the nine variations of Louis Vuitton Nike “Air Force 1” on offer. The sneakers available will be both mid-top and low-top editions in various colourways. A fair and efficient method, if we do say so ourselves.<\/p>\n

Fans of sneakers would already know the history and success of the Nike “Air Force 1”. The humble, simple silhouetted sneaker is one of the most iconic and successful styles of shoe to be created. Its timeless design and easy comfort were why the late Virgil Abloh chose it for his 2022 Spring Summer menswear show. Collaborating with Nike, Abloh reimagined 47 pairs of the Air Force 1 using materials from the same collection, which were all hand-made in Fiesso d’Artica, Italy, the official shoe manufacturer for Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Louis Vuitton also partnered with Sotheby’s<\/a> to auction off a special edition range of the “Air Force 1” made entirely from precious calfskin leather and finished with Monogram and Damier patterns plus natural cowhide piping. To finish, they were packaged within a Louis Vuitton pilot bag and had a starting bid of US$2000. Money raised during this auction was donated to The Virgil Abloh\u2122 \u201cPost-Modern\u201d Scholarship Fund, according to his wishes prior to passing.<\/p>\n

The nine styles that are up for grabs this evening will also be made at Louis Vuitton’s Fiesso d’Artica workrooms by LV artisans and will be packaged in a specially-designed box that commemorates the collaboration.<\/p>\n
