Prada recently opened the doors to its newest flagship store in the Middle East. It’s located in Doha at the world-renowned destination in Lusail City,\u00a0Place Vend\u00f4me Qatar, which is known for being home to\u00a0the biggest luxury brands.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Italian fashion brand is not one to fret about a little competition, though. Its new flagship store stands out in the crowd of luxury houses, holding a surface area of 660 square meters. With a space so large, Prada is able to host a vast array of its items inside, including ready-to-wear, bags,\u00a0accessories and footwear for both men and women.<\/p>\n

Prada’s Doha flagship store is illuminated throughout the building’s exterior with soft floodlight panelling, kind of like it is the light at the end of the tunnel for a big shopping day. There are separate entrances to get inside the store, which lead to different merchandising sections, split between the men’s and women’s departments. In the women’s section, one can find large fitting rooms next to the brand’s formalwear, in addition to an adjacent footwear display. Accessories are carried at the centre of the women’s store, which also contains a lavishly decorated sitting room. As for the men’s section, you’ll find Prada’s\u00a0fine leather goods, accessories, ready-to-wear, footwear and travel items.<\/p>\n

The store maintains Prada’s strong visual presence with interior design choices, which reflect the Italian fashion brand’s history. World travellers will recognise references to the brand’s iconic store in\u00a0Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milan, which has the same checkerboard marble floor as the newest flagship in Place Vend\u00f4me Qatar, Doha. There are also furniture pieces within the Doha flagship that were recreated from the store’s original furniture, like the sofas and seats by Osvaldo\u00a0Borsani in green velvet (originally designed in the 1950s). As similar as this new store may seem to its predecessors, the look has been refreshed with new furnishings that are worth checking out in person. To visit the store is a much richer experience than simply reading about it, so if you have the chance, then pay a visit to Prada at the\u00a0Place Vend\u00f4me
