In more unlikely celebrity couple news to come out of this chaotic post-lockdown world, apparently, Bradley Cooper \u2013 actor, director, Lady Gaga co-performer and wanna-be Oscar-nominee \u2013 is dating Huma Abedin \u2013 political confident, former aide to Hillary Clinton and ex-wife of disgraced New York congressional representative Anthony Weiner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>Page Six<\/span><\/i><\/a>, Cooper and Abedin have maintained an ultra-private romance for the past few months after being set up by <\/span>Vogue<\/span><\/i>\u2019s Anna Wintour, who, as news to us, played \u201cmatchmaker.\u201d The source added Wintour is apparently \u201cBFFs\u201d with Cooper (gagging for more information about this friendship) and \u201cadores\u201d Abedin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Bradley has been quietly dating Huma for a few months now, they’ve been keeping it really quiet,” the insider said, adding that the pair attended the Met Gala together in May, but walked the red carpet separately. They added the <\/span>Star Is Born <\/span><\/i>actor broke up with his previous girlfriend, former <\/span>Glee<\/span><\/i> star Dianna Agron (also after more information about this), prior to dating Abedin.<\/span><\/p>\n

For her part, Abedin is currently in the final stages of her divorce proceedings from Anthony Weiner, with whom she shares a 10-year-old son. Weiner, a former New York congressional representative, resigned in 2011 after inappropriate messages he sent to young women and girls on Twitter were leaked. In 2017, he <\/span>pleaded guilty<\/span><\/a> to having illicit online contact with a 15-year-old girl and subsequently was sentenced to 21 months in prison. Abedin filed for divorce from him that same year.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Bradley is a big step up from Anthony Weiner, to say the very least,” the source told <\/span>Page Six, <\/span><\/i>adding that Cooper and Abedin share many interests. “They are perfect for each other,” they continued. “They’re both into power and politics and human affairs.”<\/span><\/p>\n

So far, the insider said Abedin has only “told a few friends” that she has a “new man,” but “she didn’t say who it was. She was keeping it very close to her chest.” <\/span>In a 2021 interview with <\/span>The Cut,<\/span><\/i><\/a> she opened up about the shame she felt due to her ex-husband’s actions. <\/span>“I had my heart broken, dragged out, stomped on, humiliated. I lived with shame, in shame, for so long,” she said. <\/span><\/p>\n

“On the one hand, you have this person who’s making your life so easy. On the other hand, you have this person who’s doing these deeply irresponsible things, and what felt to me like very, very selfish things, and taking us down.”<\/span><\/p>\n
