Although The Westin Mina Seyahi is located on one of Dubai\u2019s busiest thoroughfares, you\u2019d never know it from the tranquillity you feel upon entering the Club Mina beach club. Five (FIVE!) pools are dotted throughout Club Mina\u2019s sprawling grounds, made up of The Westin Mina Seyahi and Le M\u00e9ridien Mina Seyahi.<\/p>\n

On Le M\u00e9ridien\u2019s grounds you\u2019ll find a vast infinity pool which extends so far that you can\u2019t distinguish where the pool ends and ocean begins. It features a swim-up pool bar serving refreshing beverages to those perched bar-side. There is also a children\u2019s pool nearby \u2013 complete with a whirlpool – for families with active little ones.<\/p>\n

LE M\u00c9RIDIEN’S INFINITY POOL GREETS GUESTS UPON ENTERING CLUB MINA<\/span><\/p>\n

The Westin offers a lap pool for those that want to spend the day exercising (not what our Fridays are for, TBH); a sizeable children\u2019s pool complete with mini waterfall; and a lazy river-style pool that meanders for 140 meters around secluded sunbed spots and private cabanas. We opted for loungers in the lush garden area \u2013 one of many \u2013 and marvelled at the Dubai Marina skyline peeking overtop the hotels.<\/p>\n

The Westin\u2019s pools are flanked by two restaurants: Italian eatery Bussola and Le M\u00e9ridien\u2019s Mediterranean-inspired Fish Beach Taverna. Given the resortish feel (and because eating pizza in a bikini is a one-way ticket to insecuretown), we decided on Fish come lunchtime in the hopes of lighter, daytime-appropriate meals.<\/p>\n

THE WESTIN’S MAIN POOL EXTENDS FOR 140 METRES<\/span><\/p>\n

Spoiler alert: when eating said meals, it defeats the purpose if you consume the amount we did. Opting to share multiple starters rather than individual mains (when the menu is that delicious, why just have one thing?), we tucked into crispy calamari; rice-stuffed mussels [Gemista Mydia<\/em>];\u00a0Deniz Ezme<\/em>\u00a0(a Greek ceviche, if you will) with seabass, octopus, calamari and tangy orange gems; perfectly grilled octopus with olive oil drizzle [Chtapodi<\/em>]; and a shrimp and tomato stifado. If you\u2019d prefer to stay poolside, there\u2019s an extensive beach menu complete with all the classics that can be served to your lounger by beaming staff (who asked our names upon entrance and never once forgot).<\/p>\n

FISH BEACH TAVERNA IS JUST ONE OF THE CULINARY OFFERINGS SUN-WORSHIPPERS CAN ENJOY<\/span><\/p>\n

Once the sun began to dip into the ocean, we moseyed over to the beach to catch the last of its rays. Dotted with loungers and private cabanas, the 500-metre stretch is totally pristine and perfect for a sunset stroll or sandcastle-building competition. Whichever takes your fancy.<\/p>\n

Overall, it\u2019s not difficult to see why Club Mina is one of the most-loved beach clubs in the city. It appeals to families and singles alike with facilities for everyone to enjoy. The only thing we didn\u2019t like? Leaving.<\/p>\n
