This article contains spoilers for season four of Stranger Things.<\/em><\/p>\n

Like most of you reading this article, I binge-watched season four of Netflix\u2019s Stranger Things<\/em> within days. I don\u2019t even know why \u2013 I\u2019ve always liked the show, but have never been a die-hard fan. And yet, every year that a new season lands I find myself hooked to the TV.<\/p>\n

I have to say, season four is the best yet. Like, hands down \u2013 instead of yet another monster from the Upside Down wreaking havoc on Hawkins just-because, we have a fully fleshed-out thing of terror. A monster with a back-story. A monster that\u2019s deeply connected to the real world, and comes with a major twist that\u2019s undoubtedly going to inform where Stranger Things<\/em> goes in its fifth and final season.<\/p>\n

In good and bad news (good, because there\u2019s more to come, bad, because we have to wait for it) season four of\u00a0Stranger Things<\/em> has another set of episodes, called Volume II, arriving at the beginning of July. We ended episode seven with the realisation that Vecna, the demon of the Upside Down, is actually \u2018One\u2019 \u2013 the first superhuman Dr. Brenner had in his lab, and possibly the most powerful. We also ended the episode with Nancy in grave danger, and Eleven finally getting her powers back.<\/p>\n

We have a\u00a0lot<\/em> of questions unanswered right now, which means the wait for Volume II is excruciating. To catch you up, let\u2019s run through the most important ones.<\/p>\n

Are Nancy and Steve Going To Get Back Together?<\/h2>\n

One of the most shocking revelations of season four is that Nancy and Jonathan\u2019s relationship is now on the rocks, thanks to distance and impending adulthood. Jonathan isn\u2019t sure he wants to be with Nancy anymore, a confusion that seems to stem mainly from low self-esteem, but he hasn\u2019t plucked up the courage to have the hard conversation.<\/p>\n

Nancy also doesn\u2019t seem to concerned about Jonathan \u2013 she\u2019s annoyed he didn\u2019t visit during spring break, but he barely gets a mention from her otherwise. Meanwhile, when Steve joins Nancy and the kids as they try to unravel the riddle of Vecna, there is definite sexual tension between the ex-lovers.<\/p>\n

Will they get back together? I hope so \u2013 I loved Jonathan and Nancy together, but Steve has really become a well-rounded character over the years. Where once he seemed too jock-ish for Nancy, now he\u2019s just an all-round great guy.<\/p>\n

Is Dr. Brenner Good Or Evil?<\/h2>\n

The motive for One to kill everyone at Hawkins Lab was the belief that Dr. Brenner\u2019s research was enslaving the superior beings. While One clearly has issues, he raised the question we\u2019ve long wondered \u2013 do we like Brenner? Do we hate him? He\u2019s the cause of Eleven\u2019s initial strange life, but he\u2019s also working hard to get her powers back, something she also wants.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s this question that made episode seven such a gripping watch. When One convinced Eleven to break free (and help him escape also), he used Brenner\u2019s evil intentions as bait. We believed him, as did she, which led to the massacre of all the other superhumans.<\/p>\n

Even now, in present day, it seems Brenner is walking a thin line. I\u2019m not entirely sure his intentions are pure when it comes to Eleven\u2019s powers, and we might see a secondary showdown between Papa and Eleven next season.<\/p>\n

Are Eleven And Mike Going To Break Up?<\/h2>\n

Another couple that doesn\u2019t seem to be faring too well? Eleven and Mike, the cutest romance from last season. First, we have the hugely awkward reunion where Eleven tries to imply her life in her new town is picture perfect, before being mercilessly bullied at the roller rink. Then, the pair are split up again when Eleven is kidnapped.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, is\u00a0Stranger Things<\/em> setting Eleven and Will up for a romance? He\u2019s certainly gotten older \u2013 actor Noah Schnapp\u2019s voice broke between seasons, sending Will straight into teenagerhood. Before, he seemed like the young, awkward kid in the group, but now he seems wise and calm \u2013 it always felt like Will and Eleven had a special bond since season one\u2019s events, so it wouldn\u2019t surprise me if they ended up dating.<\/p>\n

Can Eleven Really Beat One?<\/h2>\n

Yes, we saw Eleven overcome One\u2019s powers in the Hawkins Lab. But it seems like every time One kills someone, he gets stronger. Is he simply too strong to beat now? Knowing\u00a0Stranger Things<\/em>, the answer is no \u2013 Eleven will destroy him. The question is, will it be at the cost of her life, or other lives? Is Nancy going to survive her encounter with One, or will she die fighting him?<\/p>\n

Given the series ends soon, we might see some major characters perish in Volume II.<\/p>\n

How On Earth Are Hopper And Joyce Getting Out Of Russia?<\/h2>\n

I have a feeling this will be glossed over after the Demogorgon dramas, but honestly \u2013 sure, you\u2019ve managed to override the prison gates, but you\u2019ve still got a\u00a0lot<\/em> of guards to fight off, and then some very unforgiving terrain to traverse. Not to mention an international flight to get you into America.<\/p>\n

Honestly, I\u2019d prefer if they glossed over all of that.<\/p>\n
