In celebration of the most anticipated film releases of the year, guests will flock to the resort town for 12 days of unending glitz and glamour. From May 17 \u2013 28, the red carpet will be rolled out along the steps at Palais de Festivals and our attention, firmly planted on Tilda Swinton and Timoth\u00e9e Chalamets of the world (last year\u2019s moment was simply iconic).<\/p>\n<p>Inside the theatre however is where the magic of cinema comes alive with a lengthy lineup of Oscar-worthy films.\u00a0Which film will garner a history-making standing ovation? Who is the next Hollywood up-and-comer? And what will we be lining up to watch when these films release globally? Below are all the films to follow at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">elvis<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Starring Austin Butler, Tom Hanks and directed by Australian filmmaker Baz Lurhmann, the highly-publicised (and long awaited) release of\u00a0<em>ELVIS\u00a0<\/em>will explore the complicated relationship between Elvis Presley and manager Colonel Parker.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Baz Luhrmann\u2019s ELVIS | Official Trailer\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wBDLRvjHVOY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">three thousand years of longing<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The brainchild of director George Miller arrives an unexpected fantasy romance starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba. Swinton plays a lonely scholar and on a visit to Istanbul is granted three wishes in exchange for a man\u2019s freedom. Her ask? Love.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">The stars At Noon<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a 1980\u2019s in Central America, a journalist from the United States and a British businessman fall in love before attempting to flee the revolution. The film is adapted from Denis Johnson\u2019s novel of the same name and stars Joe Alwyn, Margaret Qualley and John C. Reilly.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">irma vep<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Starring <em>Tomb Raider\u2019s\u00a0<\/em>Alicia Vikander arrives a modern day interpretation of a 1996 cult classic film. Reimagined into a limited series, the plot line follows a heartbroken movie star, Mira, who travels to France to appear in a remake of silent film \u201cLes Vampire\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">broker<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In his first Korean-language film, Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda employs the talent of\u00a0<em>Parasite\u00a0<\/em>star Song Kang-ho to star in an emotional drama. The film dissects the modern day phenomenon of \u201cbaby boxes\u201d which are used in South Korea to anonymously abandon new borns to be cared by the public.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Broker (2022) \ube0c\ub85c\ucee4 Movie Trailer | EONTALK\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wVXd59cUvkc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">Paris Memories<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Paris Memories\u00a0<\/em>follows a woman (played by Virginie Efira) who suffers from PTSD after being involved in a terrorist attack in a Parisian bistro. Months later and grappling with fragmented memories she attempts to reconstruct her past.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">armageddon time<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Director James Gray presents a semi-biographical coming-of-age film set in 1980\u2019s Queens. Banks Repta portrays a school boy who has a run in with the Trump family. The film also stars Anne Hathaway and Jeremy Strong as his parents while Anthony Hopkins plays the boy\u2019s grandfather.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">showing up<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Michelle Williams portrays a frustrated sculptor who is on the cusp of a life-changing exhibition. The film is directed by slow cinema filmmaker Kelly Reichardt and follows the artist as she awaits inspiration to strike, only as her personal life becomes more strange.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article-subheadline-style\">crimes of the future<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Not at all for the faint-hearted (horror films of David Cronenberg have prompted walkouts at CFF before) arrives\u00a0<em>Crimes of the Future\u00a0<\/em>starring Kristen Stewart, L\u00e9a Seydoux and Viggo Mortensen who portrays a man whose organs are undergoing a metamorphosis.
