When it comes to the wardrobe of Elle Fanning<\/a> (designer loans or otherwise), she is severely underrated. The cult actress who recently starred in the captivating true-crime drama The Girl From Plainville<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>stepped out in Los Angeles this week for an FYC screening ahead of awards season for the hit period comedy, The Great.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The daytime event required a certain level of sophistication and in balmy California, head-to-toe Celine<\/a> by Hedi Slimane was most appropriate. Reaching full-French girl mode, Fanning was dressed in a feminine iteration of the leather jacket, paired on top of embroidered frill collar blouse, high-waisted, wide-legged jeans in a charcoal wash, classic leather belt and lastly, patent leather pumps.<\/p>\n

Leaning into the effortless Parisian chic look, Fanning’s hair was left undone with a subtle smoky eye.<\/p>\n

Fanning has been praised for her recent appearance and uncanny transformation in\u00a0The Girl From Plainville. <\/em>She stars as Michelle Carter who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter of the suicide of her then-boyfriend, Conrad Henri Roy III when he was encouraged to take his own life in 2014. The chilling series is based on the HBO two-part documentary, I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter<\/em> from 2019.<\/p>\n

I was expecting a series that bordered on exploitation, but there is much to explore in the wider issues at play, and that\u2019s where the writing and performances excel.”<\/p>\n

Prior to the new role she was also seen in two season of Hulu series, The Great,\u00a0<\/em>alongside Nicholas Hoult where she portrays a young Catherine the Great.
