Last week Hailey Bieber revealed that she underwent heart surgery<\/a> last month after experiencing stroke-like symptoms. Despite the terrifying health scare, the supermodel persevered and attended the 2022 Met Gala this evening and not to stray from tradition, wore Saint Laurent.<\/p>\n

In sticking with the ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme – sort of and albeit far pared back compared to some of her fellow guests – Bieber paid tribute to seventies’ supermodel, Jerry Hall. An iteration of the gown was once worn by the model on the Haute Couture Spring\/Summer 2002 runway and channels old Hollywood glamour with a halter-style neckline and silk wrap with billowing trumpet sleeves trimmed with feathers. Beautiful, but safe.<\/p>\n

The look was paired with fishnet stockings, crystal-adorned strappy heels and jewellery supplied by Tiffany & Co.<\/p>\n

Unlike Hall’s sleek finger waves and red lip, Bieber opted for a slicked bun with a middle part and fresh dewy makeup.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old is a regular guest at the Met Gala and after so many years, the model has changed her approach. “I feel like now my preparation is a little bit different, just trying to stay relaxed. Obviously there is a little bit of jitters that come with it because it is such a massive event… trying to enjoy it and be present,” she said on the red carpet.<\/p>\n

Husband Justin Bieber is not in attendance this year as he continues his North American World Tour. In 2021 the couple faced unwarranted criticism<\/a> from Jelena fans who could be heard shouting Selena Gomez’ name from the crowd.
