The wavy sneaker trend caught our attention when the anti-establishment label <\/span>MSCHF<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(responsible for\u00a0<\/span>Lil Nas X<\/span><\/a>‘s\u00a0<\/span>“Satan Shoes”<\/span><\/a>) dropped its new collab with rapper\u00a0<\/span>Tyga<\/span><\/a>: Wavy Baby. The sneaker caught media attention after\u00a0<\/span>Vans<\/span><\/a>\u00a0confronted MSCHF with legal action for Wavy Baby’s similarity to Vans’s Old Skool Classic sneaker. Despite its likenesses to Vans’s existing sneaker, MSCHF’s Wavy Baby’s design hit the right note with the way sneakers are being made today: wavy. The wavy sneaker trend is ubiquitous, from Converse’s curvy design on its Run Star Motion sneakers to Christian Loubiton’s ragged edges on its Loubishark sneakers.
