The first Monday of May is fast approaching with the extravagant Met Gala set to returning to normal scheduling for the first time since 2019. On May 2, celebrities will line the steps of the Metropolitan Museum in New York City and with more information about the annual soir\u00e9e trickling in each day, we’ve compiled a cheat sheet on everything you need to know.<\/p>\n

What is the 2022 Met Gala theme?<\/span><\/p>\n

This year’s Met Gala theme serves as a sartorial sequel to part one of the\u00a0In America <\/em>exhibition – an homage to American style. Aptly titled \u00a0Part Two: An Anthology of Fashion,\u00a0<\/em>the theme explores individual designers and dressmakers who worked in the United States from the 19th to the mid-late 20th century. So expect vintage revivals and reimagined styles from familiar designers.<\/p>\n

who will host the 2022 Met Gala?<\/span><\/p>\n

Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda were recently announced as this year’s co-chairs<\/a>. In addition, Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri and Anna Wintour will continue their role as honorary co-chairs for the event.<\/p>\n

WHO IS ATTENDING the 2022 Met Gala?<\/span><\/p>\n

An official guest list has not be revealed nor will we likely know the full extent of this year’s attendees until the day. Regular guests include the Hadid sisters (although Bella was absent last year), Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet, Zendaya, Billy Porter and the Kardashian’s. It is rumoured that Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian may make their red carpet debut<\/a> at the 2022 Met Gala. Other celebrity couples we hope to see include Zo\u00eb Kravitz and Channing Tatum as well as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.<\/p>\n

How Can you watch the 2022 met gala?<\/span><\/p>\n

Stay tuned here for rolling coverage of the 2022 Met Gala. While you can’t see inside the exclusive dinner for yourself, you can livestream the red carpet. Those links (which are usually found on Youtube and Twitter) are still being finalised.<\/p>\n
