Jennifer Lopez<\/a> has been engaged\u00a0many\u00a0<\/em>times (five to be exact) and with each new relationship we seem to get more excited every time. At the weekend J Lo and Ben Affleck announced their engagement<\/a> on the singer’s namesake platform where she debuted a massive new engagement ring. Affleck seemingly took a leaf from Machine Gun Kelly and proposed<\/a> with a whopping green stone but you’d be mistaken in thinking it was just a mere emerald.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Page Six<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>Lopez’s green engagement ring is actually an 8.5-carat natural green diamond which makes it rare and extremely valuable. If you’re also playing along at home, yes, Affleck spent way more on this one than the first ring<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“If that is indeed a green diamond, then I am stunned,” The Diamond Pro CEO Mike Fried told the publication. “A green diamond of that size is incredibly rare and would dwarf the value of their previous engagement ring. I would value the ring well over $5 million and could be worth more than $10 million.”<\/p>\n

In the pop star’s announcement piece, she revealed that green is in fact, her lucky colour. “Maybe you can remember a certain green dress,” she wrote. “I’ve realised there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green.”<\/p>\n

While the couple were first linked between 2002 and 2004, they famously reunited in early 2021 for the long haul. Rumours of a renewed romance occurred just weeks after Lopez split from soon-to-be-husband, Alex Rodriguez. The pair are not “rushing” the engagement and don’t intend to plan the wedding just yet.<\/p>\n
