Despite all of the avant garde Euphoria-inspired eye makeup looks getting around on my social media feeds, I am just not a glitter\/diamant\u00e9\/metallic liner kind of girl. The truth is I like soft, subtle, natural-looking colours \u2014 sometimes with just a tiny amount of shimmer (and not much else).<\/p>\n

I’ve always gravitated towards soft kohl pencils or matte powder shadows, but when Kosas relaunched their 10-second Eye Gel Watercolor Eyeshadow, I was very<\/em> interested. The US-based makeup-as-skincare brand actually launched liquid shadows a few years ago, but despite me loving every product they release, I found them too runny to actually use. I obviously wasn’t the only one, because the product was recently renovated to the current lightweight liquid-gel format in a range of six neutral shades (ranging from soft Champagne to warm coppers).<\/p>\n

As someone with very little skills in the eye makeup department, believe me when I say these liquids are SO easy to use. The texture is very much a light gel, and the applicator means it’s easy to quickly swipe the product across the lid. I wait five to ten seconds before blending with my finger, and the result is a soft wash of sheer colour that makes me feel as if I’m wearing makeup, but nothing overdone. They also layer incredibly well, and you can even use a lighter shade across the lid whilst blending a deeper shade into the lash line for more depth.<\/p>\n

And because Kosas’ whole schtick is makeup for skincare people, the formula itself also contains shea butter, jojoba oil an orange flower water for nourishment \u2014 not to mention, minimal creasing in the lash line (a characteristic that’s hard to find with gel shadow formulas).<\/p>\n

If you’re looking for a product you can swipe on in 10 seconds (heck, even 5) with zero to little skill, the Kosas 10-second Eye Gel Watercolor Eyeshadow. Each shade is wearable, easy to blend but so beautiful \u2014 a holy trinity that’s not so easy to come by.<\/p>\n
