Whether you loved or hated the\u00a0Sex and the City\u00a0<\/em>reboot, it seemingly proved successful for HBO Max. Today it was announced that And Just Like That\u00a0<\/em>would be renewed for a second season. According to executive producer Michael Patrick King and HBO-HBO Max Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys in an interview with\u00a0Deadline<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>it was the most-viewed series premiere of a new original on the service.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters \u2013 played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we\u2019re all thrilled. And Just like That\u2026 our Sex life is back,\u201d King said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis returned for the reboot which navigated the complicated lives and friendships of women in their 50s. The series however was criticised for clunky writing<\/a> and a poor attempt at ‘wokeness’ causing divisive characters<\/a> at nearly every turn. Not to mention that Chris Noth was also accused of sexual assault<\/a> as the series went to air.<\/p>\n

It is unknown who will return to season two or if we may see some new faces in the reboot (ahem, Kim Cattrall). In the meantime, we already have some thoughts on plot lines for season two<\/a>. Will Carrie return to her SATC\u00a0<\/em>roots and finally start casually dating again? Perhaps we will learn more about Seema, Nya and Lisa.<\/p>\n
