Areas dedicated to economic &amp; recreational activities will double, our public beach areas will increase by 400% over the next 20 years &amp; 60% of Dubai&#39;s area will be nature reserves <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Td3qsyGadj\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/Td3qsyGadj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; HH Sheikh Mohammed (@HHShkMohd) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HHShkMohd\/status\/1370711740309073920?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">March 13, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan hopes to increase quality of life for the city\u2019s residents as well as further solidify its place as a tourism hub and attract foreign investments.\u00a0Ultimately, the goal is to make Dubai the best city in the world to live.<\/p>\n<p>The Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan aims to increase tourism areas by 134 per cent, commercial areas by 168 per cent, land allocated to education and healthcare by 25 per cent and public beaches by a whopping 400 per cent.\u00a0In addition, green spaces \u2013 in the form of parks and nature reserves \u2013 will occupy 60 per cent of the city.<\/p>\n<div class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered\"><\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-twitter-extracted-i1617270142464917856=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The new urban plan aims to design life in Dubai for the next 20 years, provide the best quality of life and pave the way for the next major residential and economic developments in the city.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VMUCzP2O1k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/VMUCzP2O1k<\/a>\u2014 HH Sheikh Mohammed (@HHShkMohd)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HHShkMohd\/status\/1370711940037668870?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">March 13, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dubai\u2019s high-density urban areas \u2013 namely JBR, Expo 2020 Centre, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Marina, Bur Dubai, Deira and Downtown Dubai \u2013 will undergo a makeover that will include the addition of leisure facilities and schemes to provide job opportunities.
