The colourist behind Parker’s hair is Gina Gilbert of Serge Normant salon<\/a> in New York City. The duo have worked together for 15 years so the perfect blonde has been practiced down to an absolute art form. And oh, what art it is. Speaking in a recent interview<\/a>, Gilbert broke down how she achieves that natural sun bleached blonde.<\/p>\n

\u201cMostly, we do a single process [a single dye colour] right on her parting and around the hairline \u2013 but not on the whole head,” Gilbert advised. “She doesn\u2019t like to have dye sit on her scalp.\u201d<\/p>\n

A natural balyage is the result of this kind of technique. While filming for And Just Like That,\u00a0<\/em>the colourist recalled that Parker wanted her grey regrowth to blend with the blonde. If you ask us, this is how to age gracefully.<\/p>\n

“I paint her ends with a higher volume of peroxide (40) so it moves from dark roots to lighter on the ends \u2013 it looks like the sun\u2019s touched it that way,\u201d she told the publication. Gilbert then peppers lighter colour around the actress’ profile to brighten the face.<\/p>\n

If you’ve got a good colourist, the look is super low maintenance. According to the hairstylist, Parker only visits the salon every two-and-a-half months as opposed to every couple of weeks. It lends a natural appearance and is obviously kinder on those delicate tresses.
