But <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/deena-lynch-christian-louboutin-interview\/\">Christian Louboutin<\/a> knows\u2013after the year we\u2019ve had\u2014that being at home is the last thing any of us are nostalgic for. Instead, for Fall 2021, the iconic French accessories designer re-cast glittering red stilettos as the uniform of the jet set, inviting us aboard &#8220;Loubi Airways\u2019&#8221;&#8221;. The video sequence above was filmed inside an empty terminal at JFK in New York.<\/p>\n<p>Accessories including quasi-luggage top-handle totes, printed with the &#8220;Loubi Airways&#8221; logo, chic red leather travel gloves, and metallic red Mary Janes paid homage to what Alain de Botton called &#8220;the art of travel&#8221;. New prints featured heavily, such as the &#8220;Oh Xtian!&#8221; collages that cover boxy shoulder bags, reminiscent of moodboards <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/valentines-day-gift-guide-accessories\/\">Louboutin used to create<\/a> with images pulled from &#8217;90s magazines. And the &#8220;Caracaba&#8221;, inspired by the recurring motifs in the Tarot de Marseille.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_188415\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-188415\" style=\"width: 5064px\" class=\"wp-caption alignfull -width\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-188415 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/CHRISTIAN-LOUBOUTIN-LOUBI-AIRWAYS-FALL-WINTER-2021-\u00a9-Courtesy-of-Christian-Louboutin-1.jpg\" alt=\"Christian Louboutin Fall Winter 2021\" width=\"5064\" height=\"6760\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-188415\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image: Christian Louboutin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Inspired by the 3D technology unveiled in apps like Drest, Louboutin <a href=\"https:\/\/loubiairways.christianlouboutin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">created an immersive digital event<\/a>, staged inside a private jet (lined with the ubiquitous Louboutin red, of course) and offering all the trappings of an interactive video game. Tap the cockpit for the appearance of a Bitmoji-style Christian, or head to the bar for a closer look at the Caracaba-printed high-top sneakers and platform sandals.<\/p>\n<p>A hunger for travel was apparent throughout the collection\u2014particularly in the &#8220;Loubi In Wonderland&#8221; pieces, which featured blown-out prints of tourist landmarks, like the Tivoli Garden in Copenhagen, and the iconic Parisian <em>jardins<\/em>. Given that international flights aren&#8217;t likely to recommence until the later months of 2021, we may have to settle for Louboutin&#8217;s frothy, fabulous concoctions to tide us over until then.
