After recently being named Global Brand Ambassador<\/a> for Dior, Yara Shahidi<\/a> has starred in her first official campaign for the French house. Alongside longtime face of Dior Beauty Natalie Portman, Shahidi fronts the new campaign for Dior<\/a>‘s Forever Foundation, which is inspired by a sisterhood of strong women.<\/p>\n

The campaign sees the Black-ish<\/em> star models the rethought Forever Foundation formula, which was first launched back in 2007 and quickly became known as an iconic full-coverage base product. The 2022 version hit shelves on January 10 and features longer wear and no transfer, with a focus on benefits for the skin and clean ingredients.<\/p>\n

“15 years feels like an eternity, and at the same time, we could almost believe that it was yesterday,” said Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, in a statement. “Today, we are reinventing our iconic Forever foundation with a new formula at the heart of which skincare and florality play an essential role, without compromising its original qualities. On the contrary, this new generation also provides even better performance.”<\/p>\n

The new formula is said to be resistant to heat and humidity, fatigue and stress, with an 86 percent base of floral skincare extracts to soothe, smooth, hydrate and protect the skin.\u00a0“Long lasting, caring and beautifying. This new formula is, as close as it gets, a second-skin that becomes one with your own,” Philips claims.<\/p>\n

The new launch continues the foundation’s two finishes \u2013 the original longwear Forever matte finish, as well as the Forever Skin Glow formula, which delivers a luminous, moisturised complexion \u2013 in sustainably-minded packaging, with a recyclable cap and glass bottle made from recyclable materials.<\/p>\n

There’s also an extensive shade range, which was created using more than 50 years of research and new technology on unique skin tones to provide an imperceptible makeup match across 43 shades.<\/p>\n

“Each woman, no matter her complexion or skin type, aspires to look radiant with healthy glowing skin. Dior Forever is her most faithful ally thanks to a collection of shades that represents beauty and diversity,” said Philips.<\/p>\n
