After three years, Daniel Lee Bottega Veneta’s<\/a> creative director has officially parted ways with the luxury fashion house. The news was released earlier this week, with both the designer and house announcing it as a “joint decision to end their collaboration,” leaving the fashion industry speculating as to why and what comes next. Within less than a week of announcing the news, Bottega Veneta quickly announced that Matthieu Blazy would be taking over, effective immediately (and boy does Blazy have some big shoes to fill.)<\/p>\n

The now-former creative director, Daniel Lee, put the luxury brand back on the fashion maps by creating the most coveted accessories of our time, with some of the most prominent A-listers<\/a> following his every step and creating a newfound relevancy for the brand within the industry.<\/a><\/p>\n

Ever since, the Italian fashion house gained major street style credit with influencers and bloggers, sporting their favourite Bottega fits throughout fashion month. The brand even made red carpet appearances which gained the most traction in 2021, from Rihanna<\/a> opting for a head to toe Bottega Veneta look during her Savage X Fenty Volume 3. Premiere to G-Eazy wearing the brand’s signature Bottega Veneta Green at the 2021 MTV VMA’s, BIA pairing the brand’s iconic zebra-print square toe boots with an oversized jacket and many more iconic moments.<\/p>\n

We wanted to share a few key facts on the new creative director behind Bottega Veneta as a little bonus. Blazy was born in Paris, graduated from La Cambre in Brussels, and started his fashion career as a men’s designer for Raf Simons. Sources say, Blazy has a similar sense of style as Lee and, by the looks of it, plans to bring more of the same to Bottega Veneta.<\/p>\n

We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Bottega Veneta and are curious to see where Kering will take the luxury fashion house.
