The human rights lawyer wore a custom 16Arlington sequinned gown for the event which was paired with a feathered shrug, white pumps and a Moussaieff high jewellery diamond ring and earrings. The couple held hands and smiled for the paparazzi but when Amal’s shoe became stuck in the skirt of her gown, George was swift to her aid. The Clooney’s were also captured embracing in a sweet kiss and smiled at each other when their foreheads met.<\/p>\n

Cue the “oohs”, “ahhs” and “awws”!<\/p>\n

It’s no secret that George and Amal are completely head-over-heels for one another. Last week when asked about life in lockdown, Amal gushed about her husband in an interview with\u00a0Entertainment Tonight.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m lucky because I have a very supportive partner. And we do move around a lot, but we manage it, and I feel very lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n

George was previously married to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993 before he remained largely single, vowing never to marry again. That was until he met Amal and described being “swept off his feet”.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe truth was I met this amazing woman and she took my breath away,\u201d Clooney told co-hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett of the Smartless Podcast<\/em><\/a>. \u201cShe was brilliant and funny and beautiful and kind. I was sort of swept off my feet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got engaged after a few months and got married within the first year that we met. It surprised me more than probably anybody else in the world \u2014 and everybody else was pretty surprised!\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

George’s newest film\u00a0The Tender Bar<\/em> follows a boy growing up on Long Island who seeks out father figures among the patrons at his uncle’s bar. The forthcoming film stars Ben Affleck, Lily Rabe and Tye Sheridan and is scheduled to be released from December 17,
