Or that\u2019s at least how artist,Santiago Taberna would describe the Scottish metropolis in three words.<\/p>\n<p>Taberna was born in Argentina but following a year of exchange in Scotland, the creative liked Glasgow so much he decidedto return full time.<\/p>\n<p>Sitting on the River Clyde in Scotland\u2019s western lowlands, if anything was to deter travellers from visiting Glashow, it\u00a0may be the near freezing temperatures. Taberna says you can sometimes hear locals muttering, \u201cAh, it\u2019s pure Baltic out there,\u201d meaning temps are arctic. So how do you stay warm? Scottish textiles are famous for a reason and whether you\u2019retouring the city on the ground or simply exploring virtually, it is impossible to look past a tartan blanket for a nod to the culture (and a hint of warmth).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe view through the window I wanted to capture is that of Glasgow\u2019s residential neighbourhoods. This could besomewhere in the west end or across the river in the south side where I live,\u201d Taberna says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScottish weather is famous for its cloudiness, but I chose to show a colourful picture of the city, present especially in the spirit ofthe people living here. The official tagline for the city is \u2018People Make Glasgow\u2019, and with reason.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Glasgow is also well known for its music and art scene which makes nighttime the perfect opportunity to experience the city as itcomes alive. Taberna recommends Sauchiehall Street for a collection of <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/me\/articles\/grazias-at-home-city-guide-to-bristol\/\">nightclubs and bars<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou get so many artists coming to town it\u2019s often hard to keep up with them. The venues are excellent, both to see small or biggerbands, and it can feel very intimate. I\u2019ve made very good friends through music and I can\u2019t wait until we can safely go to gigsagain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While live gigs will eventually return, the first thing Taberna urges visitors to do when visiting Glasgow is to \u201csit down and havea drink at the local pub.
