It’s been said that a woman’s look is never really complete without a little (or a lot) of make-up. For Carolina Herrera’s spring\/summer 2022 collection, the beauty creative director of the brand, who also happens to be Carolina Herrera’s daughter, Carolina A. Herrera, released a new line of beauty products that are the touches you need to complete your look. Whether you’re heading to work or for a Friday night out, there’s something for everyone from Carolina Herrera’s latest beauty collection, and we’ve asked Herrera all the questions you’d like to know the answers to about her latest launch.<\/p>\n

What beauty products from your latest collections would you say every woman shouldn\u2019t leave her home without?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I personally always have my Mini Tint in 002 Delicious Rose on me. It\u2019s basically like a super nourishing lip balm that creates a really luminous wash of color. I find it instantly makes me put more polished and put together, even if I have nothing else on. Plus, let\u2019s face it \u2013 the packaging is super cute! Another staple is our universal Highlighter which is great for giving your complexion an instant boost (I like to think of it as a nap in a compact).<\/p>\n

And lastly, I always keep a Velvet finish Lip Liquid in Carolina (color n\u00b0511) close to hand in case I have to go from day to night in 5 minutes flat!<\/p>\n

Grazia: Do you think a look is ever really complete without make-up?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carolina A. Herrera: Obviously, it\u2019s down to personal preference, but I think even the subtlest touches can make a huge difference \u2013 a slick of Mini Tint or sheer lipstick, or a sweep of highlighter or skin-perfecting powder. I would say probably that the signature Herrera look is that fresh, effortless no-makeup makeup glow which is really easy to recreate with the Embellishing powders to unify the complexion and a sheer lipstick like Nude Smile (color n\u00b0 140), Nude Touch (color n\u00b0 142), or Fabulous (color n\u00b0 144) for a bare-lip effect.<\/p>\n

G: Where do you draw your inspiration from when creating new products for the Carolina Herrera beauty lines?<\/strong><\/p>\n

C.H.: I love people watching, especially strangers in the street. Who are they, where are they going, what are they passionate about? I try and imagine what kind of products they might wear based on their attitude, the energy they give off. The House of Herrera has such incredibly rich archives, but really it can be anything from a painting to an interior, to a movie\u2026 For me it\u2019s all about the emotion evoked and trying to capture it.<\/p>\n

G: You recently launched two new perfumes, Very Good Girl and Amethyst Haze. Where would you personally wear each of them?<\/strong><\/p>\n

C.A.: I love our signature scent, Very Good Girl. It\u2019s very feminine and playful with fruit, flowery top notes \u2013 without being overly sweet. Another favorite has to be our Amethyst Haze Eau de Parfum which is really aromatic and slightly masculine. I always think of perfume as the invisible accessory. That finishing touch that becomes your signature wherever you go.<\/p>\n

G: Describe the ideal Carolina Herrera woman.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

C.A.: I think she\u2019s a woman who\u2019s naturally elegant yet doesn\u2019t hesitate to laugh at herself. Who\u2019s aware of the rules but isn\u2019t afraid to break them or be irreverent. Life\u2019s too short to take yourself too seriously! She\u2019s well-travelled and curious but knows how to stay true to herself. A woman who knows what she likes but is bold enough to experiment the different facets of her personality.<\/p>\n

G: How does your latest beauty range complement your SS 2022 collection?<\/strong><\/p>\n

C.H.: You can\u2019t spell Herrera without color! For the Spring -Summer 2022 collection, we paired the really bold finishes like the Velvet and Vinyl Lip Liquids with matching looks like on the closing gown, or color clashed hot pinks and bold reds for a really summery, jet set feel.<\/p>\n

G: What\u2019s one make-up\/beauty trend that\u2019s apparent in your latest collection?<\/strong><\/p>\n

C.H.: We\u2019ve just launched the Nude Couture lipstick which is really inspired by 90s minimalism and the super model era. Generally speaking, it\u2019s all about a healthy, radiant complexion paired with a super bold lip.<\/p>\n
