While we could argue that there’s still a lot of work to be done to make our industry more size-inclusive<\/a>, plus-size clothing has come a long way. It seemed as if the fashion industry didn’t pay attention to the fact that the average women clothing size was 14 and focused only on sizes below 10. While there is a long way to go, thankfully, much has changed in the industry, with clothing brands and retailers creating an option for plus-size women<\/a> – even regional designers<\/a> are making an impact on the industry.<\/p>\n

Recently, contemporary Ready-to-Wear label Lama Jouni made headlines for extending her size range, letting more women invest in quality pieces and filling the unfortunate industry gap of inclusivity.\u00a0Earlier this week, Dubai-based model Laura Leonide took to her social media to share a live BTS<\/a> from Lama Jouni’s plus size photoshoot on her Instagram stories, revealing, “She just started creating for plus sizes, and we are shooting her first curve collection today! The designers are mind-blowing.” Leonide continued, “To see the fashion industry evolving is amazing, and I am so proud to be part of this change.”<\/p>\n

Laura followed her Insta stories with an IG post revealing the first look into Lebanese designer Lama Jouni\u2019s curve collection, consisting of a wide stock range of her primary collection in extended sizes.<\/p>\n
