My love for Gucci Beauty knows no bounds. It\u2019s a brand that sparks joy; each launch is functional but fun; practical but oh so pretty to look at. It also feels innovative because of the way it treats beauty. There\u2019s no photoshop or perfection. Instead, it\u2019s subverted; creative director\u2019s Michele\u2019s quirky influence is certainly felt in the off-beat colours, cute but crooked teeth and vintage-inspired packaging.<\/p>\n

Since its 2019 launch, the brand has also paid special attention to the category of lips. From the outset, the lip launches were sublime (Rouge \u00e0 L\u00e8vres Voile is a particular favourite of mine)<\/em>, and now Gucci has ushered in a new iteration: Rouge de Beaute Brilliant Lipstick<\/a>. Unlike its predecessors, this product sits somewhere between a lipstick and a balm. It marries vibrant colour with deeply moisturising 24-hour care, plus a subtle lip-plumping and smoothing effect.<\/p>\n

The hydration comes in the form of flower oils (black rose oil and peony among them), fruit butters and hyaluronic acid. It applies like a dream, leaving the lips feeling super soft but not sticky. I actually find the colour payoff to be really impressive, especially given the balmy texture. There\u2019s 15 shades in the lineup, ranging from cherry red to delicious browns. Here, I\u2019m wearing both Goldie Red and Sally Soft Honey so you can see them in all their shiny glory.<\/p>\n

Get inspired and pick your favourite hue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

a<\/span>pply on bare lips, straight from the bullet: its deeply nourishing formula does not require any lip balm underneath and the natural warmth of skin will melt alone the product onto the lips beautifully.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apply a single swipe for a subtle glow, or layer up to 3 times for a high-impact shine, colour and intense caring hydration;\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Press lips together once for an even, glowing finish.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
