If there’s one thing Tory Burch knows, it’s New York City.<\/p>\n

The American designer showcased her spring\/summer 2022 collection on Sunday morning with a community block party on Mercer Street. Celebrating community and the fashion<\/a> industry coming together was a big theme during the first in-person New York Fashion Week since the beginning of the pandemic, and Tory<\/a> Burch wanted to do its part by giving back.<\/p>\n

The designer selected some of her favourite local stores from books to records, brunch spots and more, inviting them to set up a shop on the street alongside her runway. The concept was beyond dreamy and truly a one of a kind experience. It felt warm welcoming and brought a sense of unity to the scene. There were treats for all, including a small logo raffia tote on each chair for the attendees to use when shopping around the market.<\/p>\n

When it came to the runway looks, the designer showcased a series of timeless<\/a> and contemporary pieces that served as a history lesson and paid homage to the female fashion trailblazers with an optimistic approach to plaid, cotton garments and knit jersey pieces.<\/p>\n

In Burch’s signature style,<\/a> she gravitated toward a neutral colour palette consisting of black, white, tan and opted for mulberry, electric blue, and lilac as a splash of colour. The collection showcased breathable garments with a corset-like waist detailing and an array of A-line silhouettes. The collection felt as if it was a representation of love for the city with an appreciation throughout the show for everything NYC represents, from fashion, culture, art, diversity and the overwhelming feeling of joy you receive once arriving in the big city.<\/p>\n
